Fuzzy Filter - A new space saving high-rate filtration technology with compressible filter medium for solid / fluid separation

With filtration speeds up to 100 m/h the Fuzzy Filter is a form of high – rate filtration technology for separation of particles and suspended matters, that is up to 80% more compact than conventional filtration technologies. This fact in combination with a synthetic filter material, which is compressible and by this easily adjustable to changing operating conditions, the Fuzzy Filter technology is a versatile and space saving separation technique for water and wastewater of different origins.

The filter bed of this spatial filtration system consists of compressible synthetic fibre balls with a diameter of 33 mm and a life cycle of more than 10 years. It provides an extremely high porosity of 80 to 85%, enabling it to store up to 15 to 20 kg suspended solids per m³ filter bed.
