Characterization and efficiency performance by standardization tests

Although the technology has been modernized, the acclimatized environment rises intern pollution levels. Increasingly, people spend their time with air conditioners on and closed windows. Air filters have been widely used for it due to their high efficiency performance. Either inside indoor rooms or even in the industry, air filters are present. Although the great results of using them, its real performance depends on many factors. The type of filter, air particulate and the operation conditions may influence the final filter efficiency. According to the EN 779 and ASHRAE 52.2 some predictions about efficiency and pressure drop can be made. However, the standardization tests procedure are not clear which makes these predictions difficult to understand.
