Filtration characteristics of a melt blown nanofiber composite air filter medium against DEHS and A2 fine dust mixture

The lifespan of the air filter media was often evaluated by testing the dust holding capacity against the standard test solid dust which were different from the real aerosol particles in the air. However, the FTIR analysis result of the contaminants collected by air filter media in this study showed that there were great amounts of oil in the contaminant. A new method was proposed to mix the DEHS drops and A2 fine dust together to challenge a melt-blown nanofiber composite filter medium. The DEHS droplets generated by nebulizer were mixed with the A2 fine solid particles which were generated by a powder disperser. The mixture particles with different percentage of DEHS (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100) were loaded to the melt blown nanofiber composite filter media according to the ISO 50011-2014 standard.
