Investigation of solvent and surfactant effect on the P(VDF-TrFE) fiber generations

In this study, we present a new type of electret material, poly(vinylidenefluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) [P(VDF-TrFE)], for the application of air filtration. We applied electrospinning method to generation fiber networks to serve as an air filter. The advantages of P(VDF-TrFE) are its high chemical resistance and piezoelectric properties. Its native dipoles make it a good electret filter for the filtration of PM2.5 particles.
